Welcome to my site. I hope you enjoy the photos in my galleries. And now, for a little bit about myself: It all got started in the summer 1987, when I had one of those life altering revelations that changed my life forever. A work related accident left me unable to do the work I've been doing for the last 25 years in construction. It was time to start over. I never would have dreamed of what was about to happen. One day while I was doing my physical-vocational rehab, trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life, I noticed an ad in a magazine for a new business start up doing 'Aerial Photography' from the Ground. That certainly got my attention. After reading the article, I was hooked. I called the company for more info. They sent a brochure with all the information about this unique start up business system, using a tethered helium filled mini-blimp with the camera mounted under the blimp. After doing a lot of research to see if I could handle it, I knew that this is what I wanted to do the rest of my life. I purchased the system not knowing the first thing about photography. The learning curve was incredible. After I finally got the hang of how to operate the system, going to networking meetings and doing a little Gorilla Marketing and most of all, reading a lot of Photography Books. There was absolutely no books to read about Aerial Photography from a tethered balloon. I started out doing speculation shoots which worked out pretty good. I got to meet a lot of people an talked about what I was doing. It was better than free advertising. People started to call me for assignments. Word of Mouth advertising is still the best. As luck would have it, I had to put it on hold for awhile. I just didn't have enough time to devote to it, I had other priorities that demanded my attention. I had to retire from that, now I just take photos when I can or when I go on field trips with some members of a camera club that I belong to. Hopefully this summer, I'll be able to go up in a plane and do what I love to do, take Aerial Photos.
